【兒童健康/小朋友EQ/育兒之道】作為家長,當然希望培育出高EQ的小朋友,有港媽就曾在網上分享煩惱,指就讀高小的女兒遇事就會不耐煩,經常發脾氣,更會挑釁年幼的弟妹,令手足之間互發脾氣吵架。其實要培育高EQ的孩子,從嬰兒時期就可以著手。
衛生署曾指出,當孩子生氣、害怕或發脾氣時,許多人普遍會嘗試分散孩子注意,或是給予零食、玩具等來哄他,甚或嚴厲訓斥他不要繼續「扭計」。但有研究發現,總是這樣回應孩子情緒,或會令孩子在控制情緒和行為方面出現困難。
而如果家長能以同理心正面地回應孩子的情緒、引導他學習調節情緒及解決難題,則有助促進孩子「情緒智商」的發展。

「EQ」是指理解、調節及表達情緒的能力,高「EQ」的孩子在身心發展有以下益處:
